• [London Edge Feb 2020 Part 4] Charlie Stone Shoes

In the fourth segment of my tour around this year’s London Edge, I was absolutely delighted to meet Samantha Capello of Charlie Stone Shoes. What a charming, elegant, lady with real passion for what she does – she very much personifies her brand, which offers beautiful vintage styling with the modern practicality of flat/low heel designs.

As someone that travels to events and then runs around them all day, I often wear something flat or low heeled for the journey, then swap to my heels once I’m there. I did this at London Edge as you can see from previous photos; I’m wearing a low heeled boot in one, (which I travelled in), and then my platform peep toes for the rest of the show. I would love to be able to wear just one pair all day but the trouble has always been finding something that’s still in keeping with the rest of my vintage styled outfit and comfortable enough to whizz from one end of the City to another. In warmer weather I usually resort to a modern ballet flat but they’re quite bland, offer little to zero support, and don’t add to the overal aesthetic I’m going for with my dresses.

Samantha has created a range of luxurious, handcrafted, shoes which have taken influences from the 1920’s to the 1950’s – they’re incredibly pretty but comfort is also key with their cushioned insoles and hidden arch support.

I’ve been a fan of the brand for a long time and adored their style but, as I’m vegan, the leather items weren’t an option for me. I was delighted to see a thoughtful selection of vegan products (I particularly love Roma and Firenze from the current collection), have been added to the upcoming season releases, using a high quality, breathable, microfibre PU, which I’m thrilled about.

These stunning rose gold and white, shell shaped, flats are called Moorea, both vegan and will be launching in April. I love the shape of these with their open toes, exuding elegance and so easy to wear with a dress on balmy summer nights or paired with capris and a light jacket for a day of exploring a Parisian city break.

I also noted they have the handy quick release buckles which I believe all collections will have going forward. They’re so much easier than having to do the buckle up each time, you just lift the strap into a hook and you’re done! I have a few shoes with this style already and they’re so much faster to put on and hold firmly in place without fuss.

Also new to the vegan range this year are these low t bar heels:

Modelling the black pair on the day, they looked great on Samantha and were clearly comfortable as she’d been on her feet all day by that point! They went really well with the dress Samantha was wearing and seemed to be a versatile shoe – something you could wear to the office or out for dinner.

The rose gold pair have the design detail of a Manhattan flat to the front, but with the addition of a small heel. They’re super sparkly and guaranteed to make your outfit shine! It felt like a really good quality glitter too, not the type which rubs off or leaves a trail everywhere you go, you can tell they’re exceptionally well made.

As well as the dazzling array of shoes, I spotted these glorious rattan bags which were launched at the start of the year.

Inspired by Grecian Summers, these sweet little bags are named Kythira and come in white (above) and natural (below) with gold fixings.

My favourite is the natural version as it sets off my Tiki inclinations. The dimensions are 20 x 13 x 6.5 cm, small enough to be demure, but big enough to hold a mobile phone, (which many vintage styled bags don’t consider), along with your other essentials. Unfortunately these have already sold out on the website (I’m not surprised as they’re undeniably a must have item) but hopefully stockists will have some incoming.

You can buy the full range directly from Charlie Stone via their website (do remember to factor in customs tax and duties when importing). It’s also important to note that they’ve taken the rather fabulous step of using only 100% compostable, plant based, mail bags for single item orders and use minimal tissue paper for packaging leading to much less waste. In a world of fast fashion, it’s so important for us to be consciously thinking about our own impact and it brings joy to my heart to see a company so proactive and innovative when it concerns our planet – we only have one and need to be kind to it.

You can also purchase Charlie Stone shoes here in the UK and EU from the following stockists:

    Voluptuous Vintage

    Top Vintage

    Revival Retro

These shops have a good selection to choose from, and some will be stocking the Summer lines, so I look forward to seeing the new styles grace their websites.

I hope you’ve enjoyed having a look at what’s to come for Charlie Stone, it was a real pleasure to chat to Samantha and learn more about her company and the exciting way it’s evolving.

The next edition of the London Edge highlights will be going live shortly, subscribe below to be notified x

  • Lulu Hun and Bright & Beautiful SS20 Preview

If you missed the previous Spring Summer 2020 previews, you can click for Collectif and Menswear and see what delights next year holds! Today is all about my favourite picks from Lulu Hun and Bright & Beautiful though, and first up, we’ll take a look at Bright & Beautiful.

To be honest, I don’t buy a great deal from this range as the era isn’t something I wear much of (it has a very 70’s vibe), but occasionally there are some beauts which I just can’t be without!

For instance, the Astrid. I’ve spoken about this style of dress previously here. It’s boat neck and flared skirt design easily lends itself to the 50’s and it’s the main dress from the range which I really look forward to seeing from B&B every season. Next year, we have this gorgeous Deckchair version coming!

Bright & Beautiful Astrid Deckchair Dress

It’s a showstopper for sure. I love the rainbow stripes and the addition of the red ric rac trim (it’s often lace that features on the edge instead). If you’re not an Astrid fan, then this print appears in a few other styles too so there’s something to suit everyone.

If you are an Astrid fan, then you may be delighted to hear that it’s also coming in a new pencil style!

Bright & Beautiful Astrid Gingham Pencil

This looks like it will be a Summer staple for most with it’s classic gingham check and perfect crossover for work wear, lunch date or a mooch around the shops with friends. I really like how the main best sellers are all getting an upgrade next year to incorporate new versions of a very popular design.

The gingham continues with this gorgeous red checked dress called Iris. It has a shirred top and flared skirt – again, perfectly passable for a fifties style. Just add the picnic.

Bright & Beautiful Iris Gingham Dress

The knitwear was a massive hit with me. There are so many cute, short sleeved, jumper styles coming, including this yellow check Sydney.

Bright & Beautiful Sydney Check Jumper

and the Bella Harlequin jumper in blue

Bright & Beautiful Bella Harlequin Jumper

Both of these have the sweetest details at the back with a row of false buttons. You could probably wear it either way around too.

Next up is Lulu Hun. This range just keeps getting better and better – I just love all the novelty items and the accessories which match perfectly with the designs of the dresses.

The sandals are always a big hit and they have some fabulous styles coming, including these orange, strawberry. monstera leaf Lottie sandals and the Phoebe starfish version.

    Lulu Hun novelty sandals galore!

True vintage fans will also like this 40’s inspired, mock croc, matching bag and shoes.

Lulu Hun 40’s style mock croc

I also really like this wedged sandal which has a removable flower!

Lulu Hun Kellie wedges with removable flowers

You can just see underneath where it has a brooch and hair clip attachment. So you could pop it in your hair if you don’t want it on your shoes. Clever!

The bags were so fun and fabulous as always. I particularly liked these bright gingham saddle bag styles with co-ordinating fruits and flowers. There’s also a little padlock feature to the front and lots of room for all your essentials.

    Lulu Hun Gingham Bags

And lastly, a pastel pink perfection bag with something I happen to say rather a lot.

    Lulu Hun heart shaped bag

This heart shaped bag sums up the collection rather well I think! Will you be broke next year because there’s so much stuff you want?…..HELL YEAH! (sorry, not sorry) x

  • Collectif & Lulu Hun Review: Galactic Tshirt and Susan Heels

I love pink and black together, it’s such a classic pin up colour combination. So when my Galactic Attack tshirt from Collectif arrived a couple of months ago, I knew I’d be pairing it with pink! My matching Maddie jeans from a few seasons ago and Outlaw jacket were the perfect choices.

This tshirt is ridiculously cool with it’s mid-century, sci-fi inspired, graphic on black. I’m so glad Collectif have ventured into tshirts in this style, as they’re so easy to pop on with some capris or rolled up denim and immediately give you that pin up look (you could pop a bandana in your hair, and you’re done!).

    ATOMIC!!<3

This one features two pin up space gals with rockets, spaceships, planets, stars and the moon. I am obsessed with everything atomic, so I can’t tell you how happy that combo makes me!

The tshirt is made from cotton jersey and is nice and stretchy. I actually bought the size up in the tshirts thinking they may come up a bit small, but there was absolutely no need. You should buy your normal size as there’s plenty of room in them and they’re a really comfortable, true to size, fit.

Perfect for a casual pin up look

There are a few other styles with this fantastic retro print, including a Dolores top and dress and a blue cardigan. We are also promised a Matilde skirt which is one of my favourite styles of skirt, so fingers crossed that arrives too.

I don’t think I’ve reviewed my Outlaw jacket before, (despite having owned it for a couple of years now!), so here’s a quick run down in case you’re considering joining the pink girl gang! (which, of course, you should).

She is roomier than the stretch versions so you may be able to get away with sizing down in this one. The sleeves are a bit long on me but will be perfect for anyone of average height – I just roll them up a little bit, which is how I wear most cropped jackets anyway, so it suits me.

The jacket is fully lined in a gorgeous pink satin which gives it a very luxurious feel. The soft pink denim is perfect to pair with so many rainbow pastels and of course, black. It lifts any outfit up with its biker babe vibes and with two front pockets, it’s practical too. I wear it a lot and have the blue and foiled versions too (the blue sizes the same as the pink) because it’s such a versatile style so you can’t just have one colour, can you?

I finished my pin up outfit off with the Susan heels from Lulu Hun which are new this season.

    Ooooo new shoes!

I absolutely adore a good sling back heel, a peep toe and a platform – and these have all three! The ultimate pin up heels!  There’s even a sweet bow to the front.

    Bow detail

Although they have a 4 inch heel, it’s a chunky heel so much more comfortable to wear, and with the 3/4 inch platform, in reality, the heel is only 3 1/4 inches. There’s also a normal buckle for the sling back so you can adjust it to suit your own comfort.

Lulu Hun Susan Heels – perfect with pink

I love these heels and will need the red and green pairs too, obviously. They will be perfect with 40’s and 50’s style trousers and dresses alike, making them a great investment.

I would also add a neckerchief to this outfit – I have a pink chiffon scarf I would have worn with it too, but I liked showing off the tshirt graphic so much, I didn’t want to cover it up. Hope you like this ‘glam-casual’ (I just made up that term but it kind of fits), pin up, look.

  • Crazy for Coloko! Shoe Review

I’m a bit of an Imelda Marcos if truth be told. I have hundreds of pairs of shoes but only one pair of feet – go figure! But I can never resist a cute pair of shoes and these low flats by Coloko tick all the boxes! I’d been wanting a pair of jelly style shoes since forever, but everything I’d previously seen reminded me too much of actually wearing jelly shoes to school in the 80’s! So I was delighted to finally find a pair that feel more grown up, but fun at the same time.

The Blossom style I chose is an open shoe with covered heel and toe, featuring a double bow on top. I opted for the blue and it has a speckled effect (almost like glitter but it isn’t at all shiny) and a small heel of 15mm making them super comfortable to walk around in for long periods.

    Coloko Blossom side and sole

The footbed has a really sweet pattern on it too, as well as the sole of the shoe – they haven’t forgotten about keeping things pretty when they’re not on your feet, which I love (and think of all the cute patterns you’ll leave while walking on the beach!).

    Coloko Blossom Footbed

I was a bit concerned about them being open and thought they may slip on and off my heel, but they’re a perfect fit and don’t do that at all. I would say I’m a small 4 (37) and they’re true to size.

Recently I’ve been trying to make better choices for the planet, so being a vegan friendly product is such a plus too. The packaging is fully recyclable as well (though I tend to keep all the boxes my shoes come in so they don’t get dusty).

If you sign up to their newsletter there’s a 15% off code for orders and delivery is free over £30. They have other ballerina flats and sandals too, which are obviously going to be next on my list!

  • Colour Me Pretty – Lulu Hun Shoe Review Veronica & Lorena

I absolutely love a pop of colour on my feet and the Lulu Hun’s Spring/Summer collection never disappoints! As well as adding a sense of fun (and your own personality) to an outfit with accessories (see here for some inspo), you can easily brighten up your day to day wear with some fun and fabulous shoes.

I bought the gold Veronica’s last year from Lulu Hun and I was lucky enough to win the silver pair in a Collectif competition (which pop up on my previous post here). They are the most comfortable shoes – I danced all night in them at the Collectif party back in December.  I do love bright, primary colours though, so when I saw these were coming in red and green too, I was absolutely delighted! I’ve obviously snapped them both up and now have all 4 – shoes for every outfit or occasion!

    Lulu Hun Veronica line up!
    Colour me pretty Veronica circle

There have been a couple of slight changes to the Veronica’s this season, one of which is the funny little hook catch which is on quite a few of the Lulu Hun range. This has been swapped out for a normal buckle and is a very welcome change as, although I didn’t mind the hook, I much prefer a buckle. The other alteration is to the footbed of the shoes which are now a fabulous floral print. I love that this pretty print peeks out from the vibrant red and green, they’re a great new design feature.

The new red and green Lulu Hun Veronica heels with floral bed and normal buckle

The metallic range are £41.00 and the red and green are £44.00, all available in sizes 3-8 and available to purchase here or direct via the Lulu Hun website.

A perfect fit in my new Veronica heels

I tend to match my clothes with red accessories quite a lot, so the opportunity to buy the new Lorena heels in red too, was just too tempting. I’ve always loved these fun and funky shoes with their ric rac detailing. I have the black and green pairs from last year already (seen on my previous post) and though they seem high at 4 inches, with the 5/8th platform they’re super comfortable to wear.

    Lulu Hun Lorena line up
    Colour me pretty Lorena cirle

The block heel and buckle straps make you feel very supported. How cool are these shoes?! I never want to take them off.

Wearing my new red Lorena heels

They go so well with my ric rac skirt, Carrie bangles and Natalie bead sets from Collectif.

Lulu Hun Lorena heels and Collectif accessories
How well do they go with my skirt?!

The Lorena heels are £43.75 each, available in black, green and now red in sizes 3-8. All the pairs I bought are true to size and fit perfectly. I’m a standard 4/37 and bought my normal size.

There are so many more Lulu Hun Summer shoes I have my eyes on, but I only have one pair of feet (you know that’s not going to stop me, right?!). Enjoy brightening up your feet on grey days, dolls!

  • A Very Collectif Christmas!

Hi everyone! Hope you all had the most wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year to you all!

I had a few gorgeous treats this year from Collectif and thought I’d share them and sizing info for you before we all hit the sales tomorrow!

    Collectif Christmas Goodies!

I’m not one for short jackets usually as they don’t tend to sit right on me (being half the size of a normal person!). However, the Molly jacket is absolutely amazing and I wish I’d noticed her sooner!

     Molly jacket in Olive Green

In a beautiful olive green, and belted with the sweetest lining, she’s a perfect fit for me – I found her true to size, however I know some ladies have to size up. I would suggest if you’re anything over the Collectif size guide then size up but otherwise it’s bang on. It has a lovely wide belt that matches and a detachable fur collar for days when you feel like being less fancy – though when are those days?! Always be fancy!

Next up is the black and white Marilu skirt which had a revamp in 2018, being a slightly different fabric to its predecessor of 2017. I much prefer the new one and it’s fully lined too which is a dream to me!

      Marilu Skirt

This skirt is absolutely true to size with no stretch, so again, if you are a teeny bit over the size guide, size up. Mine is in my normal size which will be perfect for me when I stop eating all the Quality Street!

The Ines Tropical Fruit Pencil dress I tried on in the summer at Camden and decided to take the Cecilia Lemons instead (another beautiful summer print!), as I didn’t think I needed 2 pencil dresses that day – but I totally regretted not picking it up at the time!

     Ines Tropical Fruit Dress

I was delighted to receive this frock with it’s fab fruity print and deep front pockets (I love shoving my hands in pockets – mine, obviously!). It is true to size for me and has a lovely matching belt to cinch you in.

I was also treated (no, spoilt) and given these two amazing frocks which I absolutely adore! The first of which is the Winona Slither Check Pencil Dress. Who doesn’t love a good tartan for winter? And I know the Harry Potter fans were loving the whole range.

     Winona Slither

The Winona dress has a pretty black collar, long sleeves (I favour longer sleeves in winter) and pockets (winner!). This is such a versatile dress – easy to dress up or down but always stylish.

The second dress I received was one I hadn’t considered before it was made in the Make A Wish print (so sparkly!) because I’d assumed the shoulders would be too high for my frame – how delighted I was to be so very wrong!

     Vanessa Make A Wish Dress

The Vanessa Make a Wish dress oozes sophistication and style. I loved the Make a Wish range with its shooting stars on sumptuous black velvet, but I’m unable to buy the Trixie version of this as it’s too big in the 6 for me (tip: always size down in the velvet Trixies). So I was over the moon to be able to have this print in another style, I absolutely love it! There’s plenty of stretch so it accommodates my over indulgence at Christmas and if you’re in between sizes, you’ll be fine with your normal size. This is currently out of stock online but may be available in stores. I’ll be looking out for next year’s Vanessa’s now I know what a great choice they are!

Lastly, my new Lulu Huns, which I’d been eyeballing since last year! The Mara is such a classic style and so easy to pair with everything.

     Lulu Hun Mara Shoes

I love the burgundy colour with red velvet trim and bow detail. I actually size down in most of my Lulu Huns and this was no exception. I have a narrow foot so find it suits me better – if you have a wider foot, go with your normal size though. I prefer to wear a lower heel in the day so these are perfect at 2 1/4 inches.

I’ll be posting pics of all of the above on my Instagram so give me a follow there if you’d like to see how they look in real life.

Which vintage inspired treats did you find under the tree? I hope you all manage to get what you want in the sale too!

  • Lulu Hun Marianne Shoes Review

Lulu Hun Marianne Shoes at Pure London 2018

Back in July, I first caught glimpse of this gorgeous set of shoes and knew I would need them! Having gone particularly potty over the large gingham check dresses Collectif have released this season (see previous post  here for full details and sizing advice), I knew they would be a match made in heaven! The little red buckle is a darling detail to tie in with the red on the dresses. As well as the June Dress, I also now have the Suzanne which is the swing version so they’ll get lots of wear!

    Collectif June Dress
    Collectif Suzanne Dress
    Marianne Black & White Check

They are described as a high heel but the angled block makes the 3 inch heel feel very comfortable to wear as well as the mary jane strap to keep your foot secure. I’m a size 4 (37) and found them absolutely true to size, the 4 fits me perfectly.

    Marianne Red & Black Check
    Marianne Black Suedette

Available in the black and white check I’ve bought, they are also come in red and black check (perfect with a Mara dress!) and a plain suedette black (which would be great for work or adding a plainer shoe to a jazzy print dress). As well as my checked dresses, I’ll be wearing my black and white pair to add interest to plain black outfits and also adding some mustard into the mix (you can’t have Autumn without mustard!). Catch my outfits on my instagram for how I style things.

They are priced at £43.75 and come in sizes 3-8 (36-41).  Currently Collectif are offering free delivery over £50 until the end of the month yay!

  • Pure London AW18 Collectif Preview

I had a ball at the Pure London Show last month, meeting up with some of the fabulous team at Collectif, and previewing their AW18 range. I’d seen some of it at London Edge back in February but there was much more to see and my goodness, we are in for a treat!

Those of you who are ardent fans of the Dolores and Caterina styles won’t be disappointed! There are plenty more coming in wonderful, woodland inspired, and tattoo style, rockabilly prints, including more gnomes! And pockets, lots and lots of glorious pockets! We all love a pocketed dress, I know.

    Dolores Forest Friends Dress
Close up of the Forest Friends pattern
    Collectif Atomic Cats Dolores
    Collectif Caterina Acorns Dress
Collectif Caterina True Love with a glimpse of gnomes on black backgrounds

There was also a range of quirky prints which shone like a beacon for me – anything remotely geeky or nerdy I am all over! I especially love the book print which appears on a range of styles, the atomic cats which are really cute, and the oodles of gorgeous checked prints in brights and autumnal shades.

    Collectif Book Shelf Jasmine Skirt
    Collectif Mimi Clueless Check Dress

The great thing with Collectif is the co-ordinates. You can buy separates and be as matchy-matchy as you want (for me, that’s to my heart’s content!). The themes follow through from dresses, skirts, tops, cardigans and on to trousers.  For instance, the True Love dresses have some pretty cardigans to cover up, which are already available here and the Forest Friends dress will have this adorable deer cardi launching soon. I’m in love with the geek cardigan too with glasses and pencil detail.

    Jessie Forest Friends Cardigan

And then there’s the velvet – of which I always need one in every colour available.  We will be seeing a range of sumptuous velvets in jewel tones, beautiful evening dresses ahead of the party season and glamorous coats to keep us warm when the nights start to draw in.

Collectif Angelina Dress Red Wine actual photo
    Collectif Anjelica Red Wine Dress

The popular Anjelica dress of last year is back with a revamp in a deep red (wine) colour. I absolutely adored my black version which is stretchy and clings to all the right bits. I would pop this on your wanted list as they sold out quickly last year! The black has returned this year and makes a fabulous party stopper staple.    (insert black link)

The velvet continues in the form of flocked animals – flamingos and cats pop out from plain backgrounds, making a fun alternative.

    Dolores Flock Flamingo Dress

The ‘Make a Wish’ range is the season must have though. Glittery, shooting stars in silver, burst across black velvet.  This is available in a variety of styles so whatever your preference, you’ll be able to find the perfect outfit for you – which is one of the many reasons I love this brand, because it caters to so many of our different tastes. There are matching accessories too, which I absolutely adore.

    Collectif Trixie AW18 Dress
    Lyra Occasion Dress
    Collectif Claudia Coat and Cape

Speaking of accessories, you’ll be spoilt for choice with gloves, bags, hats, and of course, most importantly, jewellery! There are some lovely, sparkly, pieces to dazzle the night away in at evening soirees – including these beautiful earrings!

The fabulous and ever popular Pearl Coat makes a return in new colour ways and even a velvet! She also brings a few new friends to the party – faux fur in abundance to keep the chill off in the depths of winter and new trenches for those in between season stages in similar shades. I have both a Korrina and a Pearl and would highly recommend either for feeling fine and divine!

    Collectif Olive Green Coat
    Callie Velvet Coat
    Collectif Korrina Green Trench Coat

I was also delighted to see that a skirt which was named after a good friend of mine is getting a couple of new colourways this year. The fabulous Kayleigh skirt will be available in the True Love print (which the real Kayleigh would have loved I think). Kayleigh was also a huge fan of Collectif and  pencil skirts so she would have been thrilled to have a skirt range named after her.

    Kayleigh Suede Skirt

Lulu Hun shoes and accessories have been amazing this year and continue to be so for the fall. A range of flat and heeled shoes and boots await (some of which can be customised!), along with cute novelty bags for the upcoming festivites. The pumpkin bag is a favourite! Halloween is just around the corner and I was delighted to receive the ‘Call Me‘ bag pictured here in the goody bag at the event. I’d been lusting after it for a while so I was over the moon to have one. Both the black and red versions are still currently available on the site.

    Lulu Hun Pumpkin Bag

I’ll be at London Edge AW18 in a couple of weeks so I’m sure there will be more delights to share then (subscribe to the blog for updates). In the mean time, hope you’ve enjoyed a sneaky peek at what’s to come and you’re not spent up from the Summer Sale as the New In selection is gathering pace! Goodbye Summer, hello Autumn! x

  • Summer Sass with Lulu Hun

This season I seem to have gone a little gaga for Lulu Hun shoes! Having previously seen this season’s offerings at London Edge in February, I knew I would need so many new pairs in my life! With bright, summery colours, fiesta feels and amazing metallics, there’s something to carry everyone through from day to night with a range of heel heights, including flats, wedges, block and stiletto heels.

I’m a bit of an Imelda Marcos at heart and have hundreds of shoes, but I can never resist a retro feel, summer fun or cute heel! I already own a few Lulu Hun shoes and found the sizing to vary previously (the flats were either a little large or true to size, and the heels came up big), but this season the sizing is very much improved and I’ve found them all a perfect fit (I’m a size 4/37, bought a 4/37 and they fit perfectly).

So, on to my hoard! Three pairs were gifts for my birthday (lucky me! more about that next time) and the silver Veronica heels are an amazing competition win from Lulu Hun (keep an eye on their facebook page for competitions/updates).

    Veronica heels

These are even more delightful than I’d hoped and so comfortable! I was very lucky to be one of the five winners during a competition to win your favourite pair. I chose the Veronica as I love the metallics (they also come in gold), the t-bar style and the versatility with the chunkier 8cm heel – perfect for dancing! Silver goes with so many things, so they’re a really good addition to my collection. They do have a rather odd fastening (unique to some of the Lulu Hun range), which has a faux buckle and hook attachment to fasten. This threw me a little on previous sandals I’d tried with it on and though I prefer a normal buckle closure on shoes, with the Veronica it works great and my foot feels well supported. I would very much like to snap these up in the gold too as they’re so nice!

The next pair are the gorgeous, sunshine yellow, Juliette, heels. No longer in stock  in the yellow as I think I bagged the last pair online, but there were a few pairs in store last time I visited and the pink is still available in limited sizes.  These are so summery and a perfect 3 1/4 inch heel for a classic look. I can’t wait to wear these with so many different colours to brighten up my outfits, I’m thinking navy currently which teams well with yellow. I’m keeping everything crossed this style returns next year in other colours!

    Juliette heels

Now the fun begins! How amazing are these Lorena heels?! Available in black or green suede (obviously I needed both), they feature the sweetest ric-rac design and a 4 inch heel with a platform. They fasten with a normal buckle and the wider heel gives great support. They are the most awesome shoes! I’ve paired them with othe ric-rac and pom pom items and they really add a fun edge to outfits (you’ll see them a lot in future posts!).

Lorena Heels – black or green

One last word about the packaging, which includes a very cute vintage lady on the front of a retro styled box. There are extra heel tips included, cardboard guards to protect the sides and a plastic support with branded tissue wrapped around them to keep them safe. I’m a big fan of this brand, which offers a great variety of fun and practical styles. The full range is available in sizes 3-8 (UK) from Collectif
